Summary
What does this car say about you?
Slightly fringe, practical and a little funky - hip Grandma.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Even the dissentersa are won over when they look beyond the badge and the slight ungly duckling looks.
Would you buy this car again and why?
If it proves reliable, without doubt yes. I have experience of fiats from the 1980's and it was not an easy decision to go for the mark again. However, a year on it is proving a practical and reliable town car. MPG, performance, insurance costs and tax make me think twice about running my own Hyundai Santa Fe.
What are you likely to buy next?
We'll keep this another year or two and see what catches our eye then.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£9,250
When did you buy the car?
March 2013
Did you get a good deal and why?
With the trade in and hard haggling we got an acceptable price to change.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
With a second grandchild on the way, my wife's former coupe had to go - it was astruggle with one small child, tthe second made it totally imparctical. Our car is a 61 plate 2011 Trekking model - not 201 on a 60 plate as stated.
What was the dealer like?
Okay overall, slight issue with transfer of cherished plate which required our needing to renew the tax on my wife's former coupe - at £285 for the year that was high cost! Claimed refund but for the weeks or so it was a lot. The Qubo tax is £30 per year a stunning saving over the Hyundai Coupe!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Typical italian flair, I expected it to be sluggish having read reports - as did my wife, which was her main concern. But, it is a revelation - it is no tarmac ripper, but it can hold its own in traffic and is no slouch from the lights if needed. - spirited and adequate.
What's it like to park?
Easy - wide pillars, so slight blind spot, but nothing major. The view out of the windshield is tremendous -like looking out of a goldfish bowl.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Rear brake drum shield needed adjustment as it was binding on left hand turns - easy fix by my regular independant garage.
What's most practical about your car?
Space, and ease of acces is amazing. Admittedly moving from a two door coupe to a five door van is going to be noticable,.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Sliding rear doors.
