Volvo V40 (1996 - 2004) 2.0i SE 5d Owner Review

A bit over 300 000 miles and an awful history, the previous owner almost sent it to the crusher but I saved it, it had a lot of problems , no transmission fluid , bad thermostat , some minor accidents and so on, since I bought it for 2/3 the price of a good one with less features, the engine still runs great, it burns a bit of oil tho but I think it has some PCV related problems or some gasket because I can't see any blue smoke coming from the exhaust , also the oil consumption is not that bad , about 200ml/1000 km and I use 10W40 instead of 5W40 and change it at 15 000 miles, I had a few problems with it due to its mileage and the way I drive it, I simply can't drive it normally, I drive kinda fast but no problems inside the engine, never opened it , instead, some water hoses cracked over time, ignition wires had to be changed 3 years ago, recently I started noticing some minor rust because I only wash it 2-3 times a year and drive it like 15k miles a year, I'm pretty happy with it. 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger' , this applies to this car, treated it pretty bad, went offroading , hit the underside of the car a few times, a maniac hit me once but I didn't have to fix it because you can barely notice anything.. Pretty happy with it I can say... Recently I changed the Lambda sond , also, the parts are cheap for this car, of course, aftermarket parts.
