The lucky winner of the Parkers ‘Win a year’s worth of free motoring’ is none other than Helen Madden from Liverpool.
The 45-year-old nurse was selected from the thousands of entries into the Parkers competition where the prize is a year’s free motoring including a brand new MG6, petrol and insurance.
Ms Madden collected her prize from the MG Sales Centre at Longbridge, Birmingham, the home of the famous MG and Rover marque.
At the handover ceremony Helen was presented with the keys to her brand new MG6 by the Editor of Parkers, Kieren Puffett, and MG’s Sales and Marketing Director, Guy Jones.
Helen, who entered the competition by writing an owner’s review on her Ford Fiesta said: “I am really happy about it. I now want to go longer distances – go to Wales and the Lake District. I like nice countryside and nice views.”
She added: “One of my friends wants to be taken for a drive when I get back and there’s now more chance I can explore the UK with a new car.”
Helen Madden, who passed her test in 2009, revealed that is was an amazing feeling and having a car meant freedom for her and really boosts her confidence.
So what was her first reaction when she discovered she had won a car? Helen confided: “I requested a a car brochure to find out more about the car!”
She also added: “I will probably go for a few practice runs before I go for a longer drive. I will probably play ‘Ain’t no stopping me now’ on the stereo as it makes me happy when driving.”
