Copen has a distinct character that could only have come from the country famous for Walkmans and digital watches. Matching a tiny engine to a small body and fitting a metal folding-roof takes micro-engineering to the extreme. Copen is cheap, cute - although perhaps a little too cute for most blokes - and offers a generous amount of equipment for the price. In 2007 it was given a new engine that improved the already nippy performance, but also made it more economical, cleaner and benefited from increased service intervals. The list price was reduced at the same time making it very good value compared to other metal roofed convertibles.
