Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer (09 on) - Review Review by Simon Harris on 23 March 2009 Last Updated: 21 February 2011 The Insignia represents a transformation from Vauxhall's previous large family car, the Vectra. It's a far more stylish looking car in all its guises, but the estate version, called Sports Tourer, is perhaps the most handsome. Quality levels match the best available and the Insignia feels more upmarket than the car it replaced. However, the Sports Tourer doesn't quite have the levels of practicality of some alternative estates and any Vectra owners used to carrying large items will be a little disappointed by the lack of space. Disappointingly, the latest diesel engines aren't as quiet or refined as those in alternative estates. In June 2010 the diesel engines saw significant improvements to make them quieter and more refined resulting in the cabin being a more relaxed and comfortable place to be when it comes to noise levels. It's also a comfortable and refined car, so if you're covering lots of miles it's a sensible choice especially when you drive the Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer 2.0CDTi (160) ecoFLEX EXCLUSIV - it’s the 2011 family estate winner in the Parkers cost of motoring awards 3.5 out of 5 Other Vauxhall reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery 3.5 out of 5 Summary Tweet New price range: £20,240 - £35,810 View all new prices Used price range: £7,797 - £19,369 View all used prices See 109 new models for sale from £16,085 Get a Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer (09 on) information pack Next steps Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer cars for sale Use our cars for sale search facility to find great deals on second hand cars.
