Fuel economy

A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test. Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 23 - 35 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

Prices are similar to the Renault Grand Espace, although Chrysler would point out there are certain features, such as electric sliding rear passenger doors and the Stow ‘n Go seating, that no alternatives offer. The diesel achieves just over 30mpg as an official average – a few mpg worse than a 150bhp diesel Grand Espace. Servicing costs should be moderate and the intervals are a sensible 12,500 miles, but depreciation rates for these large people carriers have suffered in recent years with the number of good compact seven-seat cars on the market.

Nearly all people buying a Grand Voyager will choose the diesel, although many rivals offer less thirsty, more efficient diesel engines. The CRD unit emits 247g/km and returns 30mpg.

The Grand Voyager should be pretty good if the previous version of the car is anything to go by. Some owners encountered niggling problems, but most should enjoy ownership without serious faults.
