What is miles per pound?

Fuel economy

A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test. Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 42 - 67 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

With affordable prices, frugal engines and long service intervals, the Nemo Multispace has low running costs. The HDi is very impressive with fuel economy of more than 60mpg and cheap road tax thanks to low CO2 emissions. Citroen servicing rates are reasonable too, although the brand has a poor track record for customer care in the UK, performing badly in many owner satisfaction surveys.

With a low kerb weight and small engines, the Nemo is a green car, especially the diesel which emits 119g/km of CO2 and averages 63mpg. The petrol is still frugal, with an economy figure of 42mpg, but its CO2 emissions of 155g/km seem high compared to similar 1.4-litre petrol engines from other manufacturers.

Citroen has a fairly poor reputation for reliability and durability, but newer models from the manufacturer are a big improvement. The technology used in the Nemo has been well proven in other Citroen (and Peugeot) cars and vans, so there should be few problems. The vehicle is actually built by Fiat and is the sister car of the Fiat Qubo.
