Japanese premium manufacturer Infiniti has launched its first diesel model - a rival to the BMW X5.
The FX30d is available to order now with deliveries due in July.
It uses a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine which returns fuel economy of 31mpg and CO2 emissions of 238g/km.
In comparison, BMW's X5 30d returns 38mpg and CO2 emissions are 195g/km.
The BMW is also cheaper, with an SE model costing £43,980 while the Infiniti range kicks off at £45,150.
However, standard equipment on the Infiniti is high, with GT models coming equipped with leather seats, heated and cooled front seats, bi-Xenon cornering headlights, rear view camera and 20-inch alloy wheels as standard.
