Nissan's stylish Murano 4x4 model is now more attractive to user-choosers with the launch a diesel version.
Available to order now, the Murano diesel uses the improved 2.5-litre four-cylinder dCi unit from the new Navara pick-up. The engine offers 190bhp and comes with a six-speed automatic gearbox as standard.
Nissan claims average fuel economy of 35mpg and CO2 emissions of 210g/km, putting it in the 33% company car tax band. These figures compare with 26mpg economy and emissions of 261g/km in the other Murano available - a 3.5-litre V6 petrol version.
As well as the new engine option, the Murano has been given a subtle facelift with a new front grille and bumper.
The Murano diesel, which costs the same as the petrol model at £37,795, comes well equipped with standard equipment including 20-inch alloy wheels, power tailgate, rear and kerbside parking cameras, satellite navigation, Bluetooth and aux-in connectivity and an 11-speaker Bose stereo.
Also fitted are rear privacy glass, bi-xenon headlights, cruise control and rear seats which can be lowered at the press of a button.
Nissan is taking orders now, with first deliveries due in September.
