Skoda's Greenline low emission versions have become even greener thanks to the addition of new fuel saving technology.

The Fabia Estate and Roomster models are the first to receive the upgrade, with Greenline II models now fitted with a new 1.2-litre diesel engine fitted with stop-start technology, brake energy recuperation and gearshift indicator.

As a result, the 1.2 TDI Fabia Estate Greenline II model returns fuel economy of 83mpg and CO2 emissions of 89g/km, putting it in the lowest 13% benefit-in-kind banding.

The Roomster Greenline II model now returns 67mpg and emits 109g/km to fall into the 13% banding.

The models will go on sale in the UK later this year and prices have yet to be announced.
