A new range of Audi A7 Sportback models, including a 60mpg V6 TDI Ultra diesel, have gone on sale here in the UK with first deliveries expected in the last quarter of 2014.

Priced from £45,875, the latest A7 Sportback line-up combines enhanced EU6-compliant engines along with an upgraded specification and some styling revisions.

From launch the five-door Sportback will be available with a choice of six engines with a power range of 215bhp to 444bhp.

Crucial for company car drivers is the modified single-turbo 3.0-litre V6 diesel which is capable of returning 60.1mpg with CO2 emissions of 122g/km, meaning a 20 percent BIK band for the current tax year.

Mated to a newly developed seven-speed S Tronic twin-clutch transmission specifically designed for front-wheel-drive, the 0-62mph sprint takes 7.3 seconds with a possible top speed of 149mph.

The most obvious changes to the appearance of the A7 Sportback are new lights, an updated grille which adopts the latest hexagonal design and newly rescupltured bumpers.

Inside new interior fabrics and colours help spruce up the cabin plus there is also the latest generation of Audi’s infotainment system included.

To make the choosing process easier the revised A7 Sportback will now be available in just three trim levels: SE Executive, S Line and Black Edition.

SE Executive replaces the standard and SE options in the current range and is likely to be the most popular with company car drivers. Standard kit includes all-weather LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels, four-zone automatic air-con, leather interior, heated seats, parking sensors, an automatic tailgate and sat-nav.

Next up is S Line which upgrades the 19-inch alloys to 20-inch and includes more advanced interior and exterior lighting features, the option of sports suspension plus a choice of silver or black interior colours available as standard.

For those who are after a little (or a lot) more performance, the S7 and RS7 versions have also been enhanced and are available to order (RS7 goes on sale next month) priced at £63,375 and £84,480 respectively with deliveries expected early 2015.

Both will be powered by a V8 twin-turbo petrol engine with the RS7 capable of sprinting from 0-62mph in under four seconds.
