Audi has announced it’ll be making some tweaks to its executive A6 and A7 Sportback ranges for 2016 including a revised trim line-up and more equipment available as standard.

Available to order from May 2016 with first deliveries expected later in the summer, the big news is a new SE Executive specification which replaces the entry-level SE option.

Equipment highlights for every A6 and A7 Sportback already include bi-xenon headlights with LED tail lights, leather upholstery, sat-nav, four-zone climate control and various versions of the Audi parking system. From next month, new SE Executive models will also include LED interior lighting, heated front seats, electric lumbar support and aluminum interior styling features and will be available across the Saloon, Avant and five-door Sportback ranges.

Company car drivers will also be pleased to hear that the Audi smartphone interface is now available for both models in combination with the optional Technology Pack, bringing Apple CarPlay and Android Auto into the car. If an iOS or Android smartphone is connected to the USB port the handset’s contents such as navigation, phone, music and selected third-party apps are displayed via the infotainment system and can be accessed by voice control too.

Subtle styling changes to the outside of the A6 Saloon and Avant include more pronounced air inlets with gloss black struts, more sculpted side sills and a restyled rear bumper now housing a new diffuser.

S line and Black Edition models have also been subtly enhanced by a new radiator grille with a matt black surround and chrome touches, plus S line cars will also include full electric seats with driver side memory and electrically folding wing mirrors as standard.

P11D prices for the A6 Saloon start from £32,940 up to £35,040 for Avant models, the revised A7 Sportback will start from £46,810.

The engine range for the A6 and A7 Sportback remain unchanged, with the company car favourite 2-litre TDI still included in the A6 line-up offering up to 67.3mpg combined with CO2 emissions as low as 109g/km in the Saloon.
