Skoda has introduced a new SE Business range catering specifically for company car drivers.
Recognising that certain kit is essential for fleet drivers, the new SE Business trim features touchscreen sat-nav, DAB radio, Bluetooth, dual zone air-con and cruise control all as standard.
Company car drivers now have a choice of 19 model and engine combinations from the Skoda Octavia and Superb hatch and Estate, and Yeti Outdoor off-road crossover model ranges in which they can specify with the new trim.
This recent move from Skoda seems to be a growing trend among car manufacturers with Volkswagen and Vauxhall already having launched a company car-specific trim. Having a specialist trim for company car drivers not only helps to cater for all the must-have kit that makes life easier while on the road but it also simplifys the choosing process too.
The frugal GreenLine III engines will also be available to company car drivers in SE Business trim which offer CO2 emissions as low as 85g/km in the Octavia hatch and estate models, 109g/km for the Superb hatch and estate and 119g/km for the Yeti Outdoor.
Monthly tax costs for a 20 percent payer will be as low as £46.89 per month for the 2014/15 tax year for the Octavia Hatchback 1.6TDI GreenLine III.
Fuel economy is also impressive across the range, the best performing being 88.3mpg for the Octavia hatchback and estate, 67.3mpg for the Superb hatch and estate models and 61.4mpg for the Yeti.
Patrick McGillycuddy, head of fleet at Skoda UK said: “The SE Business range is the first Skoda line-up tailored specifically to the diverse requirements of today’s company car drivers. These new ‘business models’ are a highly competitive proposition that deliver low whole life and running costs and a small BIK taxation liability, without the need for corporate customers to compromise on their reduced carbon footprint.”
The P11D prices start from £19,505 for the Octavia Hatch, £20,310 for the Octavia Estate, £20,570 for the Superb hatch and the estate at £21,850. Meanwhile the recently facelifted Yeti Outdoor pricing starts from £19,550.
