McLaren 720S verdict

2017 onwards (change model)
Parkers overall rating: 4.5 out of 54.5

Should you buy one?

Supposing you fall for the bold styling, the only real flies in the 720S ointment are a list price that pushes beyond £200,000, and a slightly disappointingly muted exhaust note.

An optional sports system definitely improves matters, but a Lamborghini Huracan and Audi R8 V10 both sound substantially more exciting and cost substantially less.

On balance though, the 720S Coupe is a brilliant way to kick off McLaren’s second wave of new-era supercars.
