Fuel economy

A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test. Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 39 - 42 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

The reliable and robust CZC should prove cheap to run with affordably priced servicing and good fuel economy, even on the Turbo model. Insurance is reasonable at group seven for the standard models, although the Turbo model is group 13.

The CZC is average in terms of emissions. The 1.5-lutre engine puts out 157g/km of CO2 and returns 43mpg but considering the modest performance, this could be better.

Mitsubishi has a good reputation for reliability and no major problems have been reported with the CZC. It’s also never been subject to a recall.
