Proton Savvy Hatchback boot space, practicality and safety

2005 - 2012 (change model)
Practicality rating: 3 out of 53.0

Reverse parking sensors as standard will help avoid those low-speed scrapes. Twin front airbags are fitted to all Savvy models and as is now the case with the vast majority of new cars, ABS comes with electronic brake force distribution. An alarm is also fitted as standard, and the boot can only be released from inside the car – good for security, perhaps frustrating for practicality.

The Savvy’s boot offers more than 200 litres of space with the rear seats in place – slightly more than a Fiat 500. With the rear head restraints removed (and the seat cushions tipped upright) the rear seats will fold flat giving a potential 909 litres of luggage space to roof height. There is also a luggage net and small storage compartment in the boot.

However, the Savvy’s door bins are narrow and the small glove compartment quite flimsy.
