It’s easy to find a good driving position quickly. The driver’s seat and steering wheel are both height adjustable, while the steering wheel adjusts for reach on higher spec models. The supportive driver’s seat ensures pain-free lengthy journeys without being uncomfortably firm. Both driver and front passenger should find the functional centre console intuitive and simple to use.

All-round visibility is good.

With supportive seats, minimal road or engine noise and a good amount of legroom, the Renault Clio Sport Tourer comfort levels are good. The cabin is serene and feels pleasantly upmarket. The rear seats are ideal for three kids, but three adults may feel a little squashed on long journeys. The Fabia estate offers better headroom throughout.
