SsangYong Korando running costs are fairly low. The Korando will be in group 19 for insurance so you’ll be pretty pleased after you have a search for cover on the comparison sites. Your jaunty disposition will continue when you consider fuel consumption: officially, the Korando returns 47.1mpg on average, which is not too shabby. We still think you’ll struggle to get this but a 35mpg average shouldn’t be unattainable.

Residual values will hurt you the most (see selling).

SsangYong Korando emissions are pegged at 159g/km for the two-wheel-drive manuals but shoot up to 194g/km for the auto and then go down to 169g/km for the manual all-wheel-drive. It’s a game of two halves really.

The SsangYong Korando reliability record is currently fairly good. It should prove reliable and not throw up any unexpected issues. In that respect it represents decent value for money if you are not bothered by frailties in the driving department.
