Maxus eDeliver 9 load area dimensions

The interior of the Maxus eDeliver 9 is compromised by the position of the battery, which sits underneath the loading bay floor. This means that there is a two-stage loading lip, and anything that you want to put in the back will have to be lifted about 5cm higher than in the diesel version. It’ll also mean your step in and out of the back will require a touch more effort – not an issue on a one-off basis but it might add up over the day / week / month.

It also means that the overall cargo space in the longer version is 0.55 cubic metres smaller than the diesel model

There is also a single side loading door on the passenger side of the van and load area tie down points in the rear to keep items secure. The rear doors open out to 236 degrees, although the hinges are not as strong as they could be so you might want to take care in really strong winds.

  • Maxus e Deliver 9 MWB maximum load length: 3,019mm
  • Maxus e Deliver 9 MWB maximum load height: 1,792mm
  • Maxus e Deliver 9 MWB maximum load width: 1,800mm

  • Maxus e Deliver 9 MWB load volume: 9.7 cubic metres

MAXUS e Deliver 9 payload, weight & towing

3 out of 5 3.0

The three different sizes of battery pack in the Maxus eDeliver 9 all go up in weight as you go up the range, which impacts payload.

What is the payload of the Maxus eDeliver 9?

The medium wheelbase comes with the smaller two batteries, with the 51.5kWh version offering the biggest payload, of 1,200kg. The 72kWh version manages 1,040kg.

The long wheelbase has a kerb weight that is slightly more than the medium version, which means that the 51.2kWh battery’s payload is 1,140kg and the 72kWh goes down to 980kg.

The biggest 88.55kWh battery is only available in the longer wheelbase version, and that has the lowest payload of the range, at 860kg.

There is a heavier version, too, which has a 4,050kg gross vehicle weight. This is physically much the same as the long-wheelbase version with the 88.55kWh battery. It boosts payload to 1,390kg.

Maxus eDeliver 9 towing capacity

Regardless of which version of the Maxus eDeliver 9 you go for the towing capacity is the same – they can all tow a 1,500kg braked trailer or a 750kg unbraked trailer.

The only exception to this is the longer chassis cab, which is limited to 1,200kg for a braked trailer.
