Fuel economy

A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test. Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 26 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

The Audi RS4 Avant running costs are going to be fairly high. It has a combined fuel economy of 26.4mpg. That’s 3.2mpg better than the C63 AMG with an auto ‘box on an average run. The truth is this that it will be very hard to drive this car sensibly so if you put your foot down then expect to return something like 16mpg.

Environmentalists will run a mile when you tell them that the RS4 Avant spits out 249g/km of CO2. The Audi RS4 Avant emissions are high but a Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG with an auto gearbox has a higher CO2 output at 285g/km.

Audi RS4 Avant reliability will be very good. Audi is a class act when it comes to building cars and this RS4 Avant looks and feels like it has been made to the same high standards that the company is renowned for. Audi usually fares well when it comes to reliability surveys.
