Should you buy one?

The Audi TT Roadster is still a highly-appealing choice for empty nesters who are looking for wind-in-the-hair thrills. Despite its age, the interior is still highly appealing, and packed with enough tech to keep the most demanding drivers happy, while the performance and handling are capable enough to tick off the basic demands of a sports car owner.

But be in no mistake, it’s no dynamic masterpiece, especially compared with the Porsche 718 Boxster. If you’re looking for total excitement and the best steering feel, you’ll want to look elsewhere. But if you want a quick, capable open-topped sports car you can use every day with an interior that’s a very pleasant place to spend time, the the Audi TT Roadster should be top of your shopping list.

But here’s the thing – your choices for open-topped sports cars is limited these days, a fact confirmed by Audi’s decision not to replace the TT Roadster when it goes out of production. We’ve said it before – and will say it again – if you want one new, act soon, and enjoy a modern classic on a daily basis.
