Smart has squeezed more life out of the Fortwo by revealing a special edition called the nightorange.

Limited to a production run of just 235 cars, the nightorange gets vivid orange paintwork to really make it stand out.

Other changes to differentiate it from the normal models include black alloy wheels, dark grey headlamp inserts, a black grille and black door mirrors.

Inside the nightorange features part leather seats, a leather gear knob and steering wheel, matte black trims, orange detailing and 'luxurious' velour floor mats.

It's available as a coupe or cabrio and comes with either a 999cc petrol engine with 71bhp that's capable of averaging 66mpg, or an 84bhp turbo version that averages 54mpg. Both come with an automatic gearbox and emissions are all under 120g/km of CO2, meaning road tax of £30 according to our car tax checker.

Standard equipment includes a USB and auxiliary connection for MP3 players, front airbags, central locking and traction control.

The Smart Fortwo nightorange, which is available to order now, starts at £9,995 - £945 more than the basic Pulse mhd model.
