This week, it’s the Renault Trafic, from ‘Loads of Vans’, that wins the star of our Van Deal. We highly rated the Renault Trafic during our review last summer, and so we can highly recommend this deal, which cuts nearly £7,000 off the list price.

Loading characteristics

Although it’s the smallest van in the Trafic family, it is still able to carry up to 5.4 cubic metres worth of cargo. It has a respectable 939kg payload, and a full bulkhead and side loading door are included as standard.

In the cab

With a roomier cabin than the previous generation Trafic and a driving position that feels more like a people carrier than a van, it’s easy to determine a comfortable driving position, with fine seat adjustability.

High quality yet durable two-tone mouldings are fitted throughout the cabin, which is further lifted by gloss black and chrome-look details. A trip computer, six-speed gearbox, DAB radio with USB and Bluetooth connectivity are all included as standard.

On the road

Renault has fitted the Trafic with what it describes as MPV-like suspension, benefiting both ride comfort and handling. It works too, the Trafic feeling refined and isolated from road noise, even with an empty cargo bay.

Steering is light enough around town to make manoeuvres easy to undertake while at higher speeds it weights up progressively without ever feeling unnecessarily sporty.

Availability

This offer is able to view and compare on the Parkers Vans for sale section. There is a four year, 100,000 mile warranty on the Trafic and service intervals are set at 25,000 miles or every two years.
