Another CV Show, another ultra exclusive limited edition Isuzu D-Max based on the Arctic Trucks AT35 conversion!

Following on from 2018’s AT35 Stealth, which was limited to just 10 examples, for the 2019 CV Show Isuzu has shown up with the D-Max AT35 Safir.

The bad news is there are just 10 examples available this time as well.

And the really bad news is it also costs £45,000 plus VAT. Which is a lot of money for a D-Max, even one with really big tyres.

What’s special about the Isuzu D-Max AT35 Safir?

The name references the exclusive Sapphire Blue Mica paint finish, which is complemented by a silver sports bar and Safir-branded aluminium under guard.

Buyers also get two sets of Laser lights – one low down in the front bumper, the other in the form of a light bar on the roof – plus a new ‘Hyper Dark’ diamond cut finish to the 17×10-inch alloy wheels.

That’s obviously in addition to the full AT35 Arctic Trucks conversion, which includes big wheel arches over 35-inch tyres and upgraded suspension.

Any changes on the inside?

The Safir gets a special set of leather seats, obviously with sapphire blue stitching. Plus a leather and suede D-shaped steering wheel – also with sapphire blue stitching.

On top of this, there’s a nine-speaker hifi system, a 9.0-inch touchscreen with Arctic Trucks logo graphics, a wireless phone charger in the top glovebox and a front camera to make it easier to see what’s happening below the line of the bonnet.

Love it. When can I order one?

Right now. As with every D-Max, you even get a five-year, 125,000-mile warranty – as well as 3.5-tonne towing capacity.

It’s a lot of money, but it’s also very, very exclusive. Good luck.
