The MS-RT range of customised Ford Transit Customs and Ford Transit Connects sport vans are now available to buy direct from any Ford Transit Centre, rather than a select number of dealers.

This news comes following MS-RT’s successful application to become an official Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier – QVM – the first customiser to ever achieve such an endorsement.

What’s different about the MS-RT Ford vans?

Here at Parkers we’ve driven a number of MS-RT vans over the last few years, and visited the factory in Wales that converts them on several occasions. We’ve always been struck by the quality and attention to detail involved in the products it produces, and the firm continues to innovate, most recently developing its own sophisticated body-part moulding process designed to mirror the quality of the original Ford components.

The exterior styling of the vans is their most striking element, influenced by the design of the Ford Fiesta world rally car, which is built in the UK by M-Sport (the MS in MS-RT – the RT stands for Road Technology).

On the inside, you’ll find bespoke trimming, too, while extra standard equipment enhances the specification of the models they are based on, including twin sliding side doors. A new range of SVO (that’s Ford’s Special Vehicle Operations) paint colours will also help the latest MS-RT models stand out.

More details of the MS-RT Transit Custom

The MS-RT Transit Custom is the company’s most popular and longest-established product. Now available exclusively with the range-topping 185hp / 415Nm EcoBlue diesel engine, it’s certainly not short of go to match the show.

Big alloy wheels up to 20-inches in diameter further enhance the appearance, and buyers can choose between panel van and double-cab-in-van body variants to suit their lifestyle, and between the standard six-speed manual gearbox and the optional six-speed automatic.

Prices for the MS-RT Transit Custom start at £34,495 plus VAT.

More details of the MS-RT Transit Connect

The latest MS-RT Transit Connect is a much newer product, having been relaunched in 2019. It’s based on the 120hp / 270Nm 1.5-litre EcoBlue diesel, and it’s a really good-looking small van that’s sure to turn heads for your business.

Again, there’s a wide choice of colours and two different finishes available for the 18-inch alloy wheels – plus other options such as Ceramic Black exhaust tips and MS-RT’s highly recognisable ‘rally’ sticker packs. A six-speed manual gearbox is standard, with an eight-speed automatic optional.

Prices for the MS-RT Transit Connect start at £24,495 plus VAT.

When are they available from Ford dealers?

The MS-RT vans will be official available to order from any UK Transit Centre from 1 September 2020. This move onto the official pricelist also means they will soon be available to buyers in some European countries as well.

As a QVM product, all MS-RT vans are now backed by the full Ford warranty.
