The new electric Renault 4 E-Tech has been winning plaudits since it was launched in spring 2025 and we’re certainly fans of it here at Parkers. Now Renault has added another string to its bow, revealing a commercial version – the Renault 4 Van.
Renault hasn’t gone as far as recreating the iconic, box-backed F4 Fourgonette that was spun off the original Renault 4. Rather, this is a much more straightforward conversion of the regular R4 E-Tech.
The rear seats and belts have been removed and replaced with a thermoformed plastic tray with a load-stop system and lashing hooks. A grid partition can be added to separate the front seats from the load area, as well.
Once Qstomize – Renault’s in-house special vehicle shop which does the conversion – has finished its work, there’s a load capacity of 1,045 litres in a space 1.2 metres long, and a payload of 375 kilos. There’s an extra space of 55 litres under the boot floor where you could keep the charging cable. Renault thinks the R4 Van has a wide range of uses including for tradespeople, delivery drivers and service providers.
Two motor and battery combinations are available. The entry-level option has 120hp and a 40kWh battery that produces a claimed range of 191 miles. Or there’s a 147hp motor with a 52kWh battery that can go up to 254 miles.
Renault quotes a price for the Renault 4 Van of €29,300 excluding taxes. It hasn’t yet been confirmed if it’ll come to the UK; we’ll report back as and when that happens.
