Renault is a pioneer in electric vehicles in Europe and this is perfectly illustrated by its comprehensive van line up that spans the small, medium and large classes. The latest International van of the Year Award-winning Renault Master E-Tech electric is the fourth generation of a model that has enjoyed success across more than 50 countries and has been on sale for over 40 years.

Renault Kangoo E-Tech electric was an innovative small electric van when it first launched, and the second generation continues this with clever practicality and technology in a package that is built with modern businesses in mind.

Renault Trafic E-Tech electric is the third electric van in the range and is a mid-size model that brings proven Trafic DNA and pairs it with electric benefits for those looking to power their business towards their sustainability goals.

Renault Master E-Tech electric is an all-new product that has benefitted from cutting-edge design that is about more than just its good looks. Its wind-tunnel honed design means it has been created to be as aerodynamic as possible, which means that it can get up to 285 miles1 out of its 87kWh battery. This is a longer official range than many rivals that come with bigger batteries and it comes with standard charging of 22kWh on an AC connection and 130kWh on a DC connection when available.

The value-for-money proposition goes further than just efficiency, though, as the Master is also competitively priced against its large-van rivals, and some medium vans too. Prices start at £42,500 basic2, but as it qualifies for the £5,000 plug-in van grant3 this means you can buy a brand-new Master for less than £40,000.

There’s much more to the Master than good numbers, though, with an S-shaped, driver-focused interior featuring a 10-inch RLink touchscreen with wireless smartphone integration and optional Google built-in4. It’s bigger inside, too, with as much as 14.8m3 of space and up to 3,855mm loading length5. Despite this, it’s shorter wheelbase means its turning circle is 1.5m smaller than the previous model.

Renault’s Kangoo E-Tech electric is another that is packed with modern tech – it’s a small van but it punches above its weight in many ways and is designed with businesses’ practicality needs in mind. It’s available in two different lengths, has up to 4.2m3 of interior space and between 600 and 975kg of payload potential.

There’s more than just plain space, though, with features such as the optional Easy Inside Rack providing an innovative way of making the most of the rear loading bay. For those that need more internal options, there is a wide range of internal fittings and conversions available through Renault partners.

Up front, it offers the comfortable car-like cabin that will make life easier for the business and tradespeople it’s designed for. Optional equipment includes heated seats and steering wheel, the hands-free key card, 8.0-inch touchscreen with smartphone mirroring, clever storage spots and upgraded interior materials all contribute to a premium feel.

It shares some of the Master’s impressive numbers, too, with 22kWh DC charging helping to minimise downtime, allowing you to make the most of the 186-mile range6.

Completing the Renault commercial vehicle line up is the Trafic E-Tech electric, the mid-size stalwart that is now offered in electric form. Like its Renault relations, it also offers fast charging with it able to replenish the battery on a 50kWh DC connection, which means you can top up quickly on the go to help keep your business moving.

Practicality is key with Trafic E-Tech, with it providing a strong set of figures. It can offer a payload of up to 1.2-tonnes while it can tow up to 950kg7. There’s a wide range of shapes and sizes to choose from too, meaning there’s a Trafic E-Tech for you no matter what your needs. There are two lengths and – rare for a medium van – a choice of two heights. This means that there is a spread of load volumes too, ranging from 5.8m3 up to 8.9m3 for the high roof version.

The Renault E-Tech electric van range covers a vast array of use cases, meaning that tradespeople, logistics companies, last-mile delivery firms and businesses just wanting to electrify their fleet can all find something to fit among the Master, Kangoo and Trafic E-Tech electric trio. With lower running costs, innovative technology, modern cabins, aerodynamic efficiency and good value for money there are plenty of reasons why businesses can go electric without compromising on what is important to them.
