Stellantis has added two Luton box van sizes to the official in-house conversions offered on its large electric vans. They are officially called the Cargo Box and the smaller offers 18.3m3 of space while the larger takes this up to 20.5 cubic metres.
Both are built at the company’s own factory at Adessa in Italy, joining the existing conversions that are already part of the official range, such as a dropside and a tipper. The new Cargo Box versions are both available with the large van’s latest electric powertrain, which means they come with a 110kh battery and a 270hp motor.
These combine to offer an official range of 201 miles (323km), which is somewhat down on the official maximum that the large Stellantis vans are capable of – the panel van versions are able to keep going for around 250-260 miles between charges. This will be down to a large box back being less aerodynamic than a specially designed van body.

However, you will be able to cut down the downtime between trips thanks to the introduction of faster charging – the large vans are now to be available with 22kW AC charging, which is something often found on company sites. This means that the battery can be recharged to full in six hours – half the time that it takes using the 11kW charging previously offered.

The smaller body has internal dimensions of 4,230mm in length, 2,032 mm in width, and 2,150 mm in height. The bigger model, which is based on the longest L4 model in the Stellantis large van range, is longer and taller inside. It provides 4,500mm of cargo length and an internal height of 2,300mm.
When can I buy a Stellantis Cargo Box and how much will it cost?
The two bodies are available on all of the Stellantis brands – the Citroen Relay, Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Vauxhall Movano – and will be available to order later in 2025.
The pricing has not been confirmed yet but will be announced closer to the official on-sale date.
