Few prestige executive cars make a more convincing case than the Jaguar S-Type. Its looks draw upon classic Jag styling cues which help to set it apart from others in the executive carpark, but seem to appeal more to the older buyer. It is well-equipped with a refined, but sporty drive and deserves to be more popular than it is. Consequently it makes even better sense as a used buy. The styling received a reworking in 2004 to resolve the slightly awkward rear-end and herald the launch of the excellent diesel engine.
