High quality, value, most dynamic Kia yet

Low awareness, not as sporty to drive as it looks
Kia might have chosen a strange-sounding name to mark the next stage in its plan to move discreetly upmarket in medium-sized family motoring, but there's no doubt that the latest version of the Ceed – called Proceed – adds a sporting dimension to the hatchback and estate car models the Korean company produces in Europe. Like its stablemates, this three-door range boasts a choice of petrol and diesel power spanning 1.4-litres to 2.0-litres and three trim levels – but the big difference comes in styling, which is much improved. It is also backed by the seven-year warranty that Kia hopes will help persuade buyers to accept its claims of industry-leading quality and value – albeit at somewhat higher price levels than those that used to be associated with the brand.
