Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has launched some new sporty styling accessories for the Transporter 6.1 – the most recent version of its famous medium van. Called T-Sport20, these include spoilers, side bars and roof rails, with the option to upgrade to 20-inch alloy wheels and 30mm lowering springs as well.

What do you get in the T-Sport20 styling packs?

There is no pack as such, rather VW has branded a whole bunch of add-ons as T-Sport20.

The complete basic T-Sport 20 pack includes an ABT lower front spoiler, rear spoiler, matte black side bars, and roof rails.

To this you can also add 20-inch matte black alloy wheels – plus 30mm lowering springs for the suspension.

There are 12 different specifications available across short-wheelbase (SWB) and long-wheelbase (LWB) models, including various combinations of bodywork accessories and a choice of alloy wheel options.

Will I have to get it painted?

Probably not. The kits are available in 14 colours, matched to the standard T6.1 colour palette.

However, you will need to have purchased a Highline model, as this is the Transporter 6.1 specification the T-Sport20 accessories are designed to work with.

How much does the Transporter T-Sport20 cost?

The basic T-Sport20 pack has a total recommended retail price (RRP) of £1,400.55 while the full banana T-Sport20 with wheels and lowering springs is £2,187.58. Both amounts exclude VAT.

Alternatively, you could consider one of the new 204hp Transporter Sportline models, which give the van a look similar to a Golf GTI – albeit at quite a cost.

VWCV has a vast array of other accessories available for the Transporter (and other models), even including Eibach coil-over and VB air suspension kits, not to mention custom leather seats, alloy wheels, and infotainment upgrades.

You can view the official accessories brochure for more details.
