The 2025 Commercial Vehicle Show is now on at the Birmingham NEC. As ever, it represents your opportunity to get up close and personal with new vans from a selection of important brands, and perhaps even bend the ear of some key people at the same time. The exhibitors include not only manufacturers and suppliers but also organisations such as the DVLA and National Highways.

This year, in addition to the usual behemoth Ford van stand and regular attendees such as Isuzu, van fans will no doubt be making a beeline for debutants Kia. The 2025 CV Show represents the first chance for all of us to see the new Kia PV5 electric van in the UK.

There are also intriguing debuts from new Chinese brand Farizon, not to mention the first appearance of Flexis, an offshoot of Renault and Volvo Trucks. Renault returns this year with a huge presence, too, as it marks the debut of three new electric vans – which will also be sold under Flexis branding – as well proudly showing its award-winning Master large van, the latest Kangoo small van and long-serving Trafic medium van.

We have details of all the important new models below.

How do I get tickets to the CV Show and what do they cost?

Tickets to the UK CV Show are free, and available via the official Commercial Vehicle Show website. There’s an Express Registration option that uses LinkedIn, or you can sign-up using your email address.

Alternatively, tickets are available on the day, but it is easier to get a barcode pass ahead of time.

What are the 2025 CV Show opening times and where does it take place?

The show runs from Tuesday 29 April through to Thursday 1 May 2025, and takes place at the NEC Birmingham – which is well connected by road, rail and even air.

The address is:

National Exhibition Centre (NEC)
Birmingham
B40 1NT
UK

The opening hours vary slightly on the final day, so don’t get caught out:

  • Tuesday 29 April 2025: 09:30-17:00
  • Wednesday 30 April 2025: 09:30-17:00
  • Thursday 1 May 2025: 09-30-15:30

The main entrance to the show is located at Hall 5.

What are the main attractions?

As well as the various van makers present, the CV Show also hosts suppliers, accessory manufacturers, security specialists, telematics companies, and stands from significant organisations. Such as the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), Road Haulage Association (RHA) and the Highways Agency.

In addition to this there will be expert-led seminar sessions running throughout the show, this year spread across three stages: the Main Stage, the Technical Stage and the Decarbonisation Theatre.

Topics covered include how telematics can make you money, the future impact of AI (artificial intelligence), health and safety, standards, legislation, self-driving technology, zero emissions, crime prevention and, er, lubrication.

The sessions run throughout the show, and there’s a different timetable of events every day. There’s a full seminar agenda on the CV Show website.

Van brands attending the 2025 CV Show

Although the CV Show isn’t just aimed at vans, the majority of the vehicles inside the National Exhibition Centre will be of vanny persuasion. Here’s what we know about what’s coming so far:

Flexis

Never heard of Flexis? We’re not surprised. But this new name has Renault and Volvo Trucks as its parent companies and has been intrinsically involved in the development of the new generation of Renault E-Tech electric vans. To the extent that these will also be sold under the Flexis brand from 2026, making it another new player in the electric van market. At the show Flexis is displaying its Step-In Van variant.

The plan is to use direct sales to target fleets, leaving Renault to hoover-up buyers via the conventional dealership route. The Flexis vans are thoughtfully designed and likely to make an interesting comparison to not only the very similar Renault equivalents but also other radical-thinking new commercial EV makers Kia and Farizon.

Ford

As usual, Ford has a big stand at the 2025 CV Show.

No surprise debuts from Ford this year, but it’s still a great chance to take a closer look at some of the latest models from the UK largest LCV brand. These include the Ford Ranger PHEV – a plug-in hybrid version of the UK’s most popular pickup truck – and the E-Transit Courier. The 249-mile E-Transit Extended Range is also on display.

What’s more, Ford is celebrating 60 years of the Transit in 2025, with lots of signage and some classic examples on display as well.

Isuzu

Isuzu always springs a surprise at the CV Show and this year, as well as revealing the latest D-Max AT35 and Huntsman variants, it’s taken the wraps off the production version of the D-Max EV. And yes, as the name suggests that’s an electric version of this rugged pickup.

While it doesn’t look much different on the outside, under the skin the usual Isuzu D-Max diesel engine has been replaced by two electric motors – one for each axle – and a battery pack that promises 163 miles of driving range per charge. Better yet, you get 3.5-tonnes of towing capacity and what’s promised to be over 1.0-tonne of payload.

Jameel Motors Farizon Auto

Farizon SV electric van at the 2025 CV Show
The Farizon SV is a new electric van.

The Farizon SV is a bespoke electric van that uses drive-by-wire technology (sort of), and the 2025 CV Show marks the public debut of the full model range. No less than eight panel van variants are available, alongside five body sizes and three battery capacities.

Star of the show is the extra-large L3/H3 version, which we haven’t seen before. But also on view are L1/H1 and L2/H2 variants, demonstrating the reality of van model that spans the traditional medium and large segments in the way the Transit used to do.

These things come with lots of kit, but are no bargain, with a starting price of £53,000 (plus VAT). Still, the payload is over a tonne in all versions – including the L3/H3, which has 13.0 cubic metres of load volume – driving range is up to 247 miles per charge, and the AA is providing servicing and roadside assistance. Worth a look while you can compare them directly to the mainstream.

Kia

The biggest draw at the 2025 CV Show is the new Kia PV5 electric van.

A massive debut for the 2025 Commercial Vehicle Show is the Kia PV5 – the first in a whole new range of ‘professional business vans’ from this successful South Korean carmaker. Built on a dedicated EV platform, it promises a 247-mile driving range, more load space that its small-van rivals, plus an innovative approach to design and practicality.

Pure commercial and passenger variants will be offered, a number of specialised models are already planned, and they’ll all come with a seven-year warranty. Pricing is aggressive, too, starting at £27,645 (plus VAT) but compatible with the maximum £5,000 Plug-in Van Grant. Got to be tempting for anyone looking for their first electric van. It goes on sale in May, with first deliveries before the end of 2025.

Renault

Renault Estafette electric van concept at the CV Show 2025
Renault is back at the CV Show in 2025 with a new-generation of electric vans.

Absent from the show in recent years, Renault makes a triumphant return in 2025 with a lot of stories to tell. Firstly there’s the latest Master – which is not only the reigning Parkers Van of the Year but also the International Van of the Year 2025 as well.

Then there is the firm’s trio of all-new electric vans: the somewhat unconventional-looking replacement Trafic E-Tech and its cousins the Estafette and Goelette. This is their first public appearance anywhere – albeit still in concept form – making the show a massive deal for the French brand, and we see them in showrooms in 2026. The radical designs are all intended to improve productivity and reduce costs.

Which van brands won’t be at the 2025 CV Show?

The above list is enough to keep you occupied for a few hours, but it’s hard not to notice that there are some key van brands missing – including several who have been present at the CV Show in recent years.

For instance, 2025is the first time in several years that SAIC Maxus hasn’t attended the CV Show. The brand has also upended its UK PR operation, so this isn’t entirely a surprise. But it is a bit of a shame, as it has a number of interesting products both on the market and on the way, all of which typically offer great value.

VW Transporter at the 2025 CV Show
VW isn’t at the 2025 CV Show officially, but you can still find a new Transporter to look at.

Other van makers we’ll miss seeing this year include Volkswagen, Toyota, and the entire Stellantis group of companies: Vauxhall, Citroen, Peugeot and Fiat. Mercedes-Benz is also not attending, but the German firm has not made an official appearance for many years now.

That said, there are examples of vans from several of the firms above on various trade stands at the NEC – including the new VW Transporter, and a pair of the latest Mercedes courtesy of local dealer, Midlands Truck and Van.

New Chinese brand Skywell was due to attend, but we’ve been told the demonstrator model for its large electric van, codenamed Skywell 233, has been delayed.
