It says that I drive something a bit different.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Most people think I must have won the lottery. I've tried to make it clear that I actually bought it for the same price as a similarly aged VW Golf!

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, yes, yes. Until another car comes out which is THIS good looking and fun to drive, and costs peanuts to buy, I'd buy another GT any day.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes - I got slightly below book price, I think because the Nissan dealer was worried about having an Alfa Romeo on his forecourt for too long.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

With the exception of a few exotic brands like Aston and Maserati, the Alfa GT is the best looking car on the road, and its so affordable as a used buy.

What was the dealer like?

Very efficient. Unlike many official Alfa dealers!

What's it like to drive?

It's great to drive. Brilliant handling and grip. It feels really special inside, and has such soul. Performance is pretty decent too.

What's it like to park?

Not easy! Poor visibility, but you just need to take your time! I wanted to get rear parking sensors, but the used car I found didn't have them but was at a great price so I thought I'd see how I got on without them. It's been fine, so far.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Airbag warning light came on after a few days. I had this problem on a previous 156, and a quick trip to an Alfa specialist and it was fixed (dodgy connection under front passenger seat). The modest £30 bill was picked up by the Nissan dealer that sold me the car.

What's most practical about your car?

The boot. For a coupe it really is a decent size and shape.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

17" alloy wheels. The standard 16" wheels just look odd on the GT, and although the even larger 18" ones might look even better, the ride becomes pretty harsh. The 17" wheels were a decent compromise in my view.
