In their own words

Thought I would write this as the prices are starting to come down and if I can help someone save some money when looking for an S1 then I’ll be happy. To start off on paper this car sounds almost perfect with it having a 2 litre turbo with 4 wheel drive, alright on fuel and pretty decent power. However depending on what you’re looking from the car you’ll either be stupidly happy with it or disappointed with it. If you’re looking for something that’s cheap to run and comfortable to drive with a lot of space then I wouldn’t recommend the car. However if you’re not as bothered about these kind of things then the S1 in my opinion is a very fun to drive car which will always put a little smile on your face when you put your foot down and can make you surprised when it keeps up with some more powerful cars. It also does have the slight potential to get quite high miles to the gallon but it definitely won’t be putting a smile on your face and will probably ad an extra hour onto your journey which defeats the purpose of the whole car. The car does take a little while to get used too as the ride isn’t as perfect as it could be, to be honest sitting on rocks is probably more comfortable, however once you’re over this I can guarantee you every drive will be a good fun drive. Overall I would recommend the car however I would not recommend buying the car from an actual Audi garage unless buying brand new. My personal experience and also the experience with a close friend with the same type of car they will do anything in their power for a problem that occurs on the car for it not to be their fault and then proceed to charge you an arm and a leg for the repairs even when you ring a garage in germany and can get the part delivered to the UK for cheaper than they are quoting. Not sure how that works however it is rather annoying! Looking at local garages that sell the same car for a much cheaper price is the better option to do in my case as I paid way over the odds in the thought I would get a better service since it’s from an actual Audi garage was completely wrong.
