What does this car say about you?
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They think it is a good reilable car, but then that is the clever marketing of the VW group. They all changed their minds when they saw the problems i was having. Very happy and glad the dealer gave me my money back.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No never again. i though german cars were well made. this is not the case with this car.
What are you likely to buy next?
Will not be anything from the VW group of companies.

Was a good price compaired to other cars of the same model age and mileage.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
No, but i wish i didnt bother.
What was the dealer like?
The dealer was good and resolved the problems i had with the car. Was very impressed with them a specaily as they were not a audi dealer.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Badly and sub standly when compaired to other cars in class and even older ones. the ride is much to hard and this makes it follow the road surface. on a normal british country road the car is all over the place. It can cope with a very smooth motorway but nothing else. the engine managment system is like it was mapped by a 5 year old. there is no turbo boost one minute then it comes in all in one go at 3500rpm but theen you have to change gear at 4200. The driveability of the car is imparied by the torque chararistics of the ecu map.EG come to a roundabout drop to 3rd keep above 25mph around it, then put your foot down and you get.....................nothing just a big flat spot. other cars doent do this be them petrol or diesel.

Have you had any problems with the car?
Yes many things for a 25,000 mile car with full main dealer service history. The oil filter housing leaked and kept coming loose after about 20 miles no matter how much it was tightened. The cap was replaced, but then the oil cooler leaked oil every where. The abs light keeped coming on randomly, and it had lots of trim rattles from the dash and doors.
What's most practical about your car?
Was quite economical, but that said only average when comparied to other older cars.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
None, the climate control was a fitted in the wrong place, much to low down and the buttons have a very odd arrangement which involves having to do lots of little clicks up or down the temperture range.
