I'm dull but delude myself into thinking I know quality when I see it.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They approved of my choice of car initially and some were even envious but now they've heard about my continuing damp carpets saga they are smug about not having an Audi!
Would you buy this car again and why?
No... unless Audi can reassure me that the newer Audis are watertight!

Pretty good price at the time - certainly compared to dealerships.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Wanted a well built reliable car.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Smooth, comfortable and refined for an older diesel. Turbo is fairly responsive making it feel more brisk than you'd expect from a 90 bhp rated engine. Body roll is noticeable on cornering though. Not as powerful or grippy as newer A4 2.0 TDi.
What's it like to park?
Power steering - so OK.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Water in driver and nearside passenger footwells. Not quite what you expect from a supposedly quality marque! MAF sensor failed resulting in the most sluggish pudding like driving I'm ever likely to experience.
What's most practical about your car?
The MPG. I get 50 mpg (not driving economically) to 60 mpg (driving rather more carefully).
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Climate control.
