  • Summary

What does this car say about you?

People admire the car and believe it is more expensive than it is. BMW drivers may have a bit of a "reputation", but I find that people are no less courteous when I am driving this than most of the other cars I have owned.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Not found anyone who doesn't like the car.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would definitely buy again as it is so much fun and yet at the same time a sophisticated mode of transport, the car brings a smile to my face every day.

What are you likely to buy next?

Probably another BMW, but also like the look of the Audi A5 and Jaguar are catching my attention with their improved customer ratings.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £0

When did you buy the car?

    June 2011

Did you get a good deal and why?

Got a good deal buying from a main dealer over the internet/phone. Car was delivered in immaculate condition, with 2 years used car warranty and at a price that meant I had secured a lot of car for the money. Dealer also took my old car in part ex.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Wanted something sporty and yet stylish. Had previously bought Mercedes and Audi, but wanted to try a BMW for the first time.

    What was the dealer like?

Excellent communication and service. No hidden issues with the car, it was exactly as described.

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

The ride is firm and it tramlines...you always feel you are having to drive the car and in that respect it is not very relaxing to drive, but the quickness, the ability to pick up speed and the seemingly effortless power is hugely satisfying.

    What's it like to park?

Easy to park as mine has sensors front and back, with a display on the dash, plus folding mirrors...but you do need to leave space for the doors as these are quite large.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

One or two issues in the past few months, but all resolved under warranty.

What's most practical about your car?

Although it is a Coupe, the ability to drop the rear seats down, creates sufficient space for two sets of golf clubs and assorted trollies, shoes etc.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Headlights that swivel round corners....when starting the car in the dark, the headlights flicker on like a neon light, then raise and lower themselves to the correct level....pure theatre.
