Economy
Value
For what you get it is worth it, good resale value for higher spec cars.
Costs
Expensive to service and run if you go to main dealer but find yourself a local garage and use genuine parts and you can't go wrong.
-
On the road
Driving
Handles superbly, real driver's car that makes you want to drive it.
Performance
Considering it's a diesel and an auto it is surprisingly quick. Pulls quickly and changes very smoothly, keeping the power coming.
-
Living with it
Reliability
No problems at all, if you look after the engine and get it fully serviced whenever it needs it. Can be expensive but will pay you back later.
Image
BMWs can go either way, some respect you for driving one but most think you are arrogant and/or dodgy. Don't expect to be let out of a junction by anyone but another BMW owner.
Comfort
This higher spec model comes with most of the extras and is therefore very well equipped and makes the experience very comfortable.

Security and Service
Security
Deadlocks, immobiliser, full-enclosure alarm, very well protected and needs to be as almost all BMW's are targeted by joyriders.
Service
Expensive but quick and thorough.
