BMW 3-Series Saloon 328i SE 4d (1997/R) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Excellent value - car pulls trailer loads
Costs
Bought cheap brake pads, but noticed the difference in terms of braking effeciency and noise - get what you pay for.
-
On the road
Driving
Like all new cars feedback is through a computer - nice cornering
Performance
Very good until I drove the 645 in Rockingham
-
Living with it
Reliability
These engines will just keep on going, had a 320i e30, 197k, I would still have it 4 years later now I'm sure.
Image
For this class of car there is non better in the sector - non (Mercs c-class, Audi A4 (close), Lexus)
Comfort
Good especially in the back seats, ride a bit firm but tradeoff with handling in dry.

Security and Service
Security
Not sure - Never tried to get into the car unles I have the key - good for the time apparently
Service
Very good for essentials, said I needed brake disks changed, but still have them on after 2 brake pads (recommendation from garage other than bmw) still good - I would rather change my oil more often - all manufactured cars in my opinion.
