Not built like they used to be, seems to me they are very much manufactured with 3 year PCP in mind. Longer term ownership outside the warranty period meant some expensive repair bills. Even brake discs and pads struggle to make it much beyond 30,000 miles. Although regularly cleaned and never kerbed, the alloy wheels started blistering around centre caps and bolt holes at around three years.
How reliable do you find the car?
Electric seats not fully working on delivery, then dealer damaged interior trim with seat rail when refitting. A/C compressor replaced under warranty, car came back with 'complementary' scratch on front panel paintwork. iDrive head unit failed outside warranty, over £1,000 to fix despite Google suggesting there had been a recall in USA where I guess legislation is much more in favour of customers. Multiple exhaust gas recirculation cooler recall inspections and eventual replacement following some instances of UK cars catching fire!Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
F30 Should be a great car like its immediate predecessor E90 generation but this one in my opinion is nowhere near as well built or reliable.About their car
