  • Economy

    Value

    4 out of 5 4.0

Only since I've come to replace it have I realised how well priced it is compared to alternatives.

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

I found service costs and insurance reasonable. It's a bit thirsty, but service intervals are infrequent.

    Driving

    3 out of 5 3.0

Not bad. Not a racer, but comfortable with a smooth engine.

    Performance

    3 out of 5 3.0

Silky smooth engine, but sluggish. Ignore the reviews and get the 3 litre. Doesn't handle Brilliantly, but when you're driving it you never feel the need to chuck it around. Better as a cruiser.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    1 out of 5 1.0

Appaling. Occassionaly I got to drive it without problems so perhaps I should have scored it a 2, but so far below what you'd expect from Audi or a car of this price it has to score a 1. Persistant faults and build issues. Too many to list. Just dreadful.

    Image

    4 out of 5 4.0

Beautiful, stylish car and still a head turner, but getting a bit commonplace now. The ownership experience has taken the shine off the Audi badge for me.

    Comfort

    3 out of 5 3.0

I could never get comfortable in the driving seat despite Audi's claims to make the best seats for your back. Could fit 4 people in relative comfort though.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    3 out of 5 3.0

Had a few problems with the alarm. Broken into once, but this was while it was at the dealership (!!!!) so it was badly vandalised, but still there afterwards! Felt solid enough to provide security in a crash though.

    Service

    1 out of 5 1.0

So bad it defies belief. Useless at identifying and sorting problems. Car was badly vandalised whilst in dealers care. Got a parking ticket while car was with the dealer. Slow to sort out problems and complaints. Just shit all 'round!

  • Problems and Ownership

    Problems

    Engine

Apart from it's slight sluggishness and thirst it developed a serious judder at speed which the dealer failed to identify.

    Other

Too many to list. Countless stereo / speaker problems, window problems, roof & stowage box problems. The funniest was the rear view mirror dropping off! This is a £29k Audi for heaven's sake!
