Good sticker price (recently reduced by £2k) plus good trade-in = decent deal.

What was the dealer like?

Typical BMW dealer - very professional - you get what you are ultimately paying for

What's it like to drive?

Superlative performance. Just like a good opera singer, there's always something in reserve

What's it like to park?

Big! But standard PDC front and rear with graphical illustration make it easy.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Steering whining once warmed up. Dealer replaced steering rack, no questions, all under warranty. Happy. It does sound like a common failing, however.

What's most practical about your car?

Leather and the space

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Adaptive xenon headlights are excellent. Auto dimming interior and exterior mirrors are great.
