Lots of car for the cash bought nearly new from Matlock Ford. I travelled to them from London, it was worth the trip.

    Costs

    3 out of 5 3.0

None so far, but economy figure is misleading in Fords stats. 35mpg in town up to 50 on motorway journeys with luggage and family loaded up is very good.

  • On the road

    Driving

    3 out of 5 3.0

With this engine it is very easy to drive popping to the shops is hassle free whilst it loves wafting along A roads or motorways. Much better than my Mother's Scenic.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

These Tdci engines are good, but can be misleading when the turbo cuts in you feel the whoosh, but may not be going as quick as you think. Great engine for long trips, few gear changes with this amount of torque.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    2 out of 5 2.0

Same 1850rpm glitch as others mention what are Ford dong about it? I'll find out at the next service. Boot release has stopped realeasing, sometimes opening when on the move! Windscreen trim had worked loose. For all this I still like the car.

The front is ugly the back is pretty, it's a Ford so there will be tens of thousands about, but the build inside is a big step up from our last Ford.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

I have the leather seats, they are much better than the fabric seats for comfort. Lots of space for all inside.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    4 out of 5 4.0

    Alarms, immobiliser not tested yet.

    Service

    3 out of 5 3.0

Not had reason to use the dealers yet, but from past experience with Ford dealers I don't hold out much hope.
