What does this car say about you?

The Soul is for those who dare to be different, which is surprisingly an older market than Kia have aimed for.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Like the Chrysler PT Cruiser I had before the Soul devides opinion, but at least they are talking about it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

If this one proves OK I would buy a Diesel Soul Shaker in a couple of years as although a Nissan Note is a more sensible choice on paper it is so dull in comparison.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Very pleased with the price, I got a further discount on top of the Government Scrappage Allowance

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I guess like most owners I like the funky looks and the fact it's got a 5 star Euro NCAP rating.

What was the dealer like?

Very fair, but you only really know how good the service is if you have a problem which I haven't.

What's it like to drive?

All controls are well laid out easy to use, the steering is light and the brakes are very keen.

What's it like to park?

Rear visability isn't the best but parking isn't really a problem.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Only had the car 4 days. The petrol engine has a chain instead of a cam belt so there are no changing intervals to worry about. Some US forums report the paint chips too easily but only time will tell.

What's most practical about your car?

It may have a similar wheel base to a 5 door Corsa but it's over 1.6 meters high and can take 55 litres more luggage

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

I like the fact the entry level soul has air con, ABS and a good sound system but the rear parcel shelf is a £170 optional extra !!!
