What does this car say about you?

This bloke drives a quality car, and it isn't a BMW repmobile.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They think it's a nice bit of kit.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes. Quality and class ooze from it!

What are you likely to buy next?

More than likely another Merc. In that case it would be the third Merc that I've owned!!

  • Buying experience

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £0

When did you buy the car?

    December 2013

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes I got a very good deal mainly (I think) because a new C class will be coming out shortly and they needed to get rid of the old stock. Also the C220 I was trading in was in really good condition and had been serviced throughout by the dealership that I bought the new one from.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I needed a larger boot than the Mercedes C220 that I traded in in exchange for the estate that I bought. Also because I only do about 5000 miles per annum I opted for a petrol rather than a diesel engine because of all the diesel particulate filter problems I've read about with diesels that only do short runs.

    What was the dealer like?

Very good. Friendly, helpful, and well informed. No pushy salesmen. I've bought from this main dealer before and went back there for my current purchase because I have been well treated previously.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

At first I thought that I was going to miss the huge torque which my C220 diesel had, but to be honest I've now got used to the smooth power delivery of the petrol engine, and the car is no slouch. 0-62 in 8.7 seconds is 2 seconds quicker than my old diesel, and all this from a 1.6 petrol engine!

    What's it like to park?

Not really tried it yet or the Parktronic system which comes with the car. A treat in store!

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

    No

What's most practical about your car?

Carrying capacity and remote rear tailgate opening.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Auto lights (including auto main beam), auto wipers and bluetooth connectivity for my mobile phone. Hill Assist is great and the 7 speed auto box is a beauty as well giving seamless gearchanges in all circumstances. Sunroof which came with the car will also be a boon in the summer months.
