What does this car say about you?
It says that I bought a car that was not exciting but practical and reliable.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They liked it. In fact, the father-in-law bought one 6 months after we did (with some of the same faults!)
Would you buy this car again and why?
Not in a million years. I was one of the first build, but it had Japanese styling and Renault electrics. Why didn't they get it right.
What are you likely to buy next?
I've since bought a Toyota Aruis. 12 months of ownership and I've not even had to replace a light bulb. That's what the Primera should have been.

Did you get a good deal and why?
It was and OK deal. The Primera was not that common and less well know, so there was a little knocked off the asking price.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
It was well equipped (SVE spec), looked different and a Nissan, which should mean that it was reliable.

What's it like to drive?
Average. Its not a sports car and the equivalent Mondeo is better.
What's it like to park?
Good, with the rear view camera.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
More than you can imagine! Just read the forums for faults with this car (and the costs involved), I had it all. 2 x Failed DVD players that control the full Sat Nav / Radio / Heating. No heating in winter on a 30 mile journey to work is not fun. Failed window mechanism meaning the glass just dropped one night, leaving the car wide open. Failed front ABS ring. Broken front headlight bulb holder. Needs the entire headlight to be replaced. Failed S-ECU meaning the car would beep every time the indicators were used. I wouldn't have an issue with wear and tear issues, but these were / are all known faults.
What's most practical about your car?
It has a lot of space and is very easy to drive.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The rear view camera and auto dimming mirror.
