What does this car say about you?

Well I have my Avenged Sevenfold sticker in the rear window and I'm gonna start to make it my own soon with Morette headlights and smoked rears. It's not a boy racer car contrary to what some people say... It's a subtle hot hatch that's slowly being forgotten about which is unfortunate.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Friends love it, family think it's smart and neighbours don't mind it... It's not loud on start up but it has beef to it when it gets into the higher revs about 4-5k.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes I would! With all that's wrong with it and with all the work I've put into it... It's a brilliant car, don't let my nightmare put you off, I just pulled the short straw but in a way, pulled the longest... As I've restored a car that was once only worthy for scrap with all the problems. Obviously the owner before me didn't look after it very well and I'm giving it the love it deserves!

What are you likely to buy next?

I'd love the new Peugeot 208 GTI.

Did you get a good deal and why?

No. The chap I bought it off said he had put a lot of money into getting it right... Well he was a long way off... £2500 later and I got it right instead.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Metallic blaze orange colour with painted black roof & wing mirrors pulled me in.

What's it like to drive?

Amazing. It never fails to put a smile on my face! It's drives nice and smoothly over the rough roads of Manchester!

What's it like to park?

Takes more effort and concentration as I have 17inch GTI 180 alloys on mine and I don't want to curb them... But it's relatively easy.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Ariel came loose and started leaking water into the car through the interior light, needed alot more work doing with just parts being overall priced at £1800... I still need to replace the PAS pipes as they're leaking and there's an oil leak somewhere from the engine aswell which I need to locate. The drivers seat is loose and the paint from the roof is chipping away so I'm going to get those problems sorted soon.

What's most practical about your car?

Decent fuel consumption for a 20yr old lad like myself!

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Metal pedals and gear knob is a nice touch, as well as the half leather interior. I like the digital AC display, too.
