What does this car say about you?

That I am sensible but wanted something a bit different to an Astra or Focus.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They like it. It doesn't really start a conversation though!

Would you buy this car again and why?

No. I like driving it and is very cheap to run, but reliability is too poor and outweighs the cheap running costs.

What are you likely to buy next?

If I had money to burn I would want an Alfa, but will probably be something German or Japanese.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Not really. Paid a little over the odds because it came with a warranty and I thought it would be easy to take it back.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Thought it looked good. Was low mileage and came with good service history.

What was the dealer like?

Helpful with the first few problems then became increasingly difficult to work with as the problems grew.

What's it like to drive?

I like it. It's not very agile but feels solid and comfortable on long trips. Very easy to drive although pedals are too close together and gearchange is very vague.

What's it like to park?

Visibility is a bit limited but I manage to park it anywhere.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Practically replaced the whole car! In 9 months it needed a new starter motor, then new glow plugs, then aux drive belt snapped which in turn damaged the water pump. Then had a problem with a fuel injector. ABS fault comes up now and again. Electrical glitches vary from day to day.

What's most practical about your car?

Boot is a decent size and there are little storage bins all over the place. Economy is very good!

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Large windscreen and dashboard means the front cabin is very spacious and bright. A/C is ice cold and does not seem to affect engine or economy.
