What does this car say about you?

That I can't afford something better, and that my wife had the final say and prefers boot space and practicality to anything resembling driving pleasure.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

    Ambivalent

Would you buy this car again and why?

Absolutely no way. I hate it. The driving experience alone was terrible, but combine that with the number of gremlins and reliability issues and it's a no go. It's redeeming features are its comfort and practicality, but they're less useful if you can't actually go anywhere in it.

What are you likely to buy next?

Volvo V50 (the car we should have bought last time).

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

Slow and boring. Doesn't enjoy going uphill and you need a lot of space ahead if you're overtaking. Soft and comfortable ride, with a good view in pretty much every direction.

    What's it like to park?

Pretty light and easy. Absolutely fine for a car its size, and surpising some of the spaces it can squeeze into.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Electrics: Rear windows wound themselves down and never went up again. Permanent parking brake warning notification, even though it works fine. Steering rack going at around 75k. One rear seat jammed and refuses to fold down.

What's most practical about your car?

    Boot space.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Nothing special comes to mind. It's got an insane number of little cubbyholes though.
