• Summary

What does this car say about you?

Probably makes me look less masculine. It's a small car in a bright colour, but oh well! It probably makes me look fairly sensible and that I don't particularly care about size (or badge kudos).

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Most are skeptical at first, but warm to it when they realize how good a car it really is.

Would you buy this car again and why?

If it was written off today I wouldn't even consider getting anything else. It's the perfect car for me right now.

What are you likely to buy next?

3 years down the line at the end of the agreement we will see what's around - But I'd be very happy to stick with a Skoda.

Did you buy this car new?

    Yes

    £11,000

When did you buy the car?

    January 2014

Did you get a good deal and why?

0% finance offered straight away with £0 deposit - I didn't feel like haggling any further but still feel like I got a good deal.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

After test-driving everything in the sector (from Twingos to Pandas), discovered that the Citigo was not only the best to drive, but one of the best to own - multiple reviews said so. Amazing feeling of quality inside plus great dealer service and 0% finance.

    What was the dealer like?

Very attentive, not at all pushy - no 'hard selling' techniques. Emails regarding build progress and orders answered very quickly.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Really good, feels like a much bigger car. There isn't much power but it doesn't feel outclassed on the motorway - it's only steep hills where you wish they'd been a bit more generous. Comfortable over most surfaces and real good fun on a twisty back road! Pedals are all well positioned, easy to get comfortable, visibility is great.

    What's it like to park?

Easiest thing ever - if your dealer cons you into parking sensors you're a fool as you can see every corner and the rear of the car is flat anyway. Steering is also really light.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Sat-nav accessory had issue with reading music off memory card - replaced under warranty in less than an hour. Gearbox initially quite reluctant to go into reverse - this still happens on occasion but has nearly disappeared as my mileage has increased.

What's most practical about your car?

Having five doors, even when only using the backseats for luggage space. Really makes it easy to get in the back.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

I adore the satnav/bluetooth/infotainment. Reasonably priced option and works like a charm, I especially like the non-intrusive junction diagrams.
